Terms & Conditions governing the
Handling/Removals/Transportation of household
and other goods by AvaEsvo Removals.


Full payment is required to book your move. Payment must be made by EFT and must be reflected in our account before the move takes place or CASH payment must be received on the day before loading commences.

Funds must reflect in our account before the move as we do not accept bank generated notifications as proof of payment.

If you wish to cancel/postpone your move you must notify us in writing more than 7 days (including weekends and public holidays) before the move date.

If your booking is made within 7 days (including weekends and public holidays) of your move date, it is not possible to cancel/postpone your move and receive a refund.

Any request for refund should be made at least 7 days (including weekends and public holidays) before the move.

The quote is based on the move details provided by you. Any changes to the details may incur additional costs.

The customer will be required to cover all bank charges for deposits made into our account, including bank charges for payments from a bank account outside of South Africa.


Before your move:

Please make sure you have provided us with complete move details.

Please notify us if there are parking restrictions, goods-lift restrictions, scheduled power outages, or if there are steps/stairs case or other obstacle which could affect the move.

Any heavy item that 3 or 4 men cannot lift, will not be moved.

Pot plants size larger than 1 man, you need to provide dimensions and weight. Any pot plant requiring more than 4 men to lift to shoulder height and onto the truck will not be moved.

All small items to be moved must be packed into boxes or bags before our team arrives. Packing costs will apply if we are required to do this work for you. All loose items must be properly boxed .

Furniture or appliances with loose items in them will not be moved. All loose items should be removed and packed into boxes before the move commences. Heavy loose items, like books, should be packed in small boxes. Any box exceeding 14 kilograms in weight will not be moved.

No flammable/toxic chemicals/liquids/gasses/solids can be moved by us. This includes semi-full and full gas bottles.

Any glass or fragile item not mentioned or not properly protected in advance will be moved at the customers risk and we will not be liable for any damage to the item.

Please ensure that we have any amendments to your list at least 5 days before your move. If there are additional items those shall attract additional charges to be moved. Please check your load-shedding schedule. If your move is impacted by load shedding, there may be extra charges on the day.

We must be notified via email at least 7 days before the move should you require special services (listed below). If we are not notified beforehand, we will not be able to provide the following services and if we are able to do so, there will be additional charges.

  • dismantling and reassembling / Connecting /disconnecting plumbing and/or electrical equipment
  • removing/reattaching
  • box packing
  • bubble/protective plastic wrapping
  • hoisting

On moving day:

Please arrange parking for our truck(s) and/or any necessary cooperation and compliance with your body corporate/neighbours/Home Owner's Association. Please let all items be packed and ready for us before we arrive. If we start late it delays all the moves for the day and waiting charges may apply. Please seal all your boxes, both top and bottom.

Please note that if there is a lift in your building it will be your responsibility to get the lift keys so as to ensure that the lift door remains open while we work. Alternatively, you should provide a person to hold the door so that our staffs are able to move your items without interruption. We will not be liable for any damage to the lift or its sensor.

You must please ensure that you have the necessary manuals and specialised tools for dismantling/handling of all items.

Please inspect the premises and truck before departure at all locations to ensure all goods have been moved and nothing is left in the vehicle or in a location. You, or your representative, are responsible for the security of your goods at pickup and delivery points.

Please do not leave any valuables lying around including cell phones, wrist watches, wallets and sunglasses. We will not be liable for loss of these items.

Any questions that arise on moving day should, where possible, be directed to your move manager who will supervise and assist with your move.


The quote is based on the information provided by you, the customer. Any change to the details of the move might affect the quote. Additional charges will be applied on the day if there are extra goods.

Goods that do not fit in the lift, stairs or doorway, will not be moved. You may require special services.

If there are any changes to the details of the move or there are any delays beyond our control,


  • Extra box – R50
  • Extra washing machine or similar - R350
  • Extra fridge/couch or similar – R350
  • These prices assume there is space in the truck for the extra items. If extra trips are needed, extra costs will also apply.


Goods-in-transit Insurance up to a value of R150000 in the event of total loss (fire, hijacking, accident).

We are covered up to a load limit of R150,000 with all risk goods in transit insurance.

The excess on this policy payable by you, the customer, 6.6%of the total value.

This insurance cover is intended to only be used in the event of complete loss of load, such as Accident, Thefts, Hijacking and Fire incident.

This insurance is provided at no additional cost to you.

If additional insurance is required, the customer should contact their household insurance broker as our insurer does not covers scratches or any loose damages.

For example, items wrapped in protective wrapping or items packed in boxes by anyone other than our staff aren't covered by insurance as we have no way of knowing whether the item was damaged before we arrived.

The following are not covered by our insurance:

furs, jewellery, bullion, precious and semi-precious metals and stones, curiosities, items of art, money, documents, stamps, sunglasses, keys, cell phones, tablets, laptops, data.

We shall not be held responsible for property or goods damaged as a result of difficult access.


These Terms and Conditions together with our quotation are intended to form the whole agreement between us and to prevail over any verbal discussions. Should we mutually agree to any variation of these terms such variation should be confirmed in writing. Any variation however agreed shall never invalidate the remainder of these Terms and Conditions.


This contract is subject to the laws of The Republic of South Africa.
